Nikki Hayfield is a Senior Lecturer in Social Psychology at the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol. Nikki is a qualitative researcher with a keen interest in bisexualities, pansexualities, asexualities, and lesbian, gay, and heterosexual sexualities more widely. She has also conducted research with women who are childfree by choice. Nikki teaches students about human sexuality, including alternative relationships (e.g., asexual, bisexual, pansexual and LGBTQ+, and childfree relationships). She has published journal articles and book chapters on a range of topics including bisexual identities, marginalisation, and relationships, and childfree identities. Nikki uses qualitative methods of research and she teaches and writes about various forms of qualitative research. She is a British Psychological Society (BPS) Chartered Psychologist and a committee member of the BPS Psychology of Sexualities Section (PoS) committee. At UWE, she is leader of the Identities, Subjectivities, and Inequalities theme of the Social Science Research Group.
