Outdoor Fitness at Wild and Well

We’re huge fans of exercising outdoors here at Wild & Well so our programme is jam-packed with classes and events to help you get active and get outdoors at the same time. Whether you’re running in the beautiful woodland at Ashton Court, paddle boarding around the harbourside or swinging from the M-Shed cranes, these events are designed to suit all levels of fitness – from complete novices to fitness geeks. Guaranteed to make you feel good!

Jungle Runners

Come and join our fun, friendly and immersive silent disco workout to drum & bass in the woods. Dance routines are woven between short, mixed ability runs. Classes are carefully designed to tread as lightly as possible, limiting our footfall impact whilst learning about and connecting to nature.

MoveGB Climbing Wall

Sponsored by MoveGB, our outdoor climbing wall will be situated beside M-Shed, with stunning views over the harbourside. Offering climbing experiences throughout the weekend. This activity will operate on a drop-in basis and all equipment and instruction will be provided.

Saturday, October 20th; Sunday, October 21st, M Shed

Paddle Boarding

Experience the UK’s fastest growing watersport and see Bristol from a brand new perspective. SUP Bristol will be providing paddle boarding experiences throughout the weekend. Taking in the sites and sounds of Bristol’s iconic harbourside, this is by far the best way to see our gorgeous city.

Saturday, October 20th; Sunday, October 21st, Harbourside

Mountain Biking

With over 850 acres of beautiful woods and parkland, Ashton Court is a haven for mountain bikers with trails suitable for all levels – from complete beginners to more experienced riders. We’ve teamed up with Pedal Progression to offer guided mountain biking, instruction and bike hire at Ashton Court.

Pedal Progression will be offering a number of rides, for different ages and levels of experience, throughout the weekend. Our promise – you will get muddy and you will love it!

Saturday, October 20th; Sunday, October 21st, Aston Court

BoPo Bootcamp

Brought to you by Bristol’s very own Unitard Fitness Twins – AKA Carly and Cat –  our Body Positive (BOPO) Bootcamp is designed for ANYBODY who wants to move, get fit and feel great in the skin they’re in. Exercises will be adapted to suit all abilities and needs, so whether you’re a fitness aficionado or feel terrified at the thought of getting your legs out in front of strangers, come and join our gang and celebrate simply being YOU!

Harbourside 5k

From its people to its buildings and open spaces, Bristol is a beautifully diverse city. Lacing up our trainers and seeing our city as our playground is one of the best ways for us to connect with where we live. Who needs a gym? The city will become our playground on this chatty-paced 5k run through Bristol’s iconic Harbourside. Starting from the M-Shed, we’ll weave our way around the river, pausing to use the different spaces and street architecture we pass to stretch and strengthen abs, arms and legs. Connect with our city and with each other. Kick start those endorphins and feel energised for the day ahead.

Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, October 21st, Harbourside

Wild Animal Bootcamp

Train like an animal…to move like a human! Get in touch with your wild side as we explore the functional and primal movements of the animal kingdom at Ashton Court. Sweet Result Fitness’s really wild workout is suitable for all – it’s time to channel your inner beast!

Aerial Yoga

We do like to do things differently at Wild & Well so we’re thrilled to be teaming up with Nay’s Yoga to offer aerial yoga…from the M-Shed cranes! Suitable for everyone, including complete beginners, yogis use a special kind of hammock which acts like a soft trapeze, supporting the hips for forward and back bends. This gentle, elegant yoga practice is perfect for those who have problems with some postures on the ground.

Saturday, October 20th; Sunday, October 21st, M Shed

The Wild & Well Pair Run

This is a super fun way of training with significant benefits – working the lactate shuffle systems in the body. Once runners are paired up, they run as a relay team over a set course with diagonal run back recoveries to the start position. For the Wild & Well Pair Run – participants will be paired up randomly to increase the chance element.

Sunday, October 21st, Ashton Court

Wild Walking Fitness

Enjoy a walk with a difference with Lesley Waldron of Wild Country Woman. This 50 minute session will include an exploratory walk as well as some bodyweight exercises to get the whole body working. This is an interval training class that takes nature as its inspiration and is suitable for a range of fitness levels.
