The Barefoot Trail is one of Wild Place Project‘s most popular activities and they’re bringing it to Ashton Court especially for Wild & Well! Kick off your shoes and socks and tantalise your toes with a variety of terrains including pebbles, bark, soil and everybody’s favourite – mud! Exercise your senses, immerse yourselves in the moment and take the opportunity to really connect with nature using your mind and body. This is a truly uplifting, fun experience for the whole family to enjoy.
Wild Place Project was opened by the Bristol Zoological Society in 2013 with an emphasis on protecting threatened habitats in the UK and around the globe. The society’s vision is to create a sustainable future for wildlife and people through conservation and education work. Located just off junction 17 of the M5, Wild Place Project boasts amazing and endangered animals, wild walks in ancient woodland, outdoor adventure, play and learning.
You can wash your feet off at the end of the trail. Bringing your own towel is advisable.
