Feeling lost is a natural feeling in a complex world, but at times of breakdown or burnout getting help from humans can be difficult and confusing. The natural world – landscapes, trees, water, animals, plants, seasons – can sometimes remind and guide us to find daily connections to the important things in life and, at times of serious crisis, uncertainty or transition, ways to find strength and clarity for the next steps.
Alan has worked in NHS mental health services as a psychiatrist for over 20 years and has also learned, from many teachers, nature based practitioners and traditions, ways to keep in touch with healthy wildness in a mad world. This session will give you a chance to remember and develop your own unique skills for self care and connecting to nature, tips for finding breakthroughs at times of break-down and how to find local networks of Local Nature Health and Green Care services and practitioners.
