This as an opportunity to find out more about non-native invasive-species crayfish in the UK. Having been introduced by the Government in the 1970s, the American Signal Crayfish has taken over much of the UK’s waterways and destroyed our populations of native crayfish. They are all over the place and we need to eat more of them to control their numbers.

Crayfish Bob’s mission is to get them into our food chain in a big way, because he believes that the only way we can deal with this big problem is with big action. This workshop will cover trapping and storage and will have a special emphasis on the many ways to cook these critters. There will be a Q&A session as Bob prepares and cooks some up onsite. He knows rather a lot about crayfish and will be happy to discuss them at length with you!
